(2011-08-15)Kingsun draws attention in LED retrofit projects
Kingsun draws tremendous attention from LED industry after releasing the press on newly accomplished LED street light project in Shenzhen, China early this month.
Maury Wright, Senior Editor from LEDs Magazine, noticed the accomplishment Kingsun made in this project and turn to Kingsun for more details. He collected information about four big LED street light projects in Canada, China, US and UK, then take them as good examples in the LED retrofit projects in his report.

In a mix of new and retrofit applications, LED Roadway Lighting is supplying the city of Edmonton, Canada with 2580 Satellite series LED luminaires. Kingsun Optoelectronic has completed one of the first large-scale LED roadway lighting projects in China deploying solid-state lighting (SSL) along a 120-km highway. Las Vegas, Nevada has begun an LED retrofit project that could reach 50,000 street lights, and we have more details on the Bristol, UK project that utilizes Philips SpeedStar luminaires.
