"By the development more than 30 years, Chinese LED industry form its nascent scale, development of Zhujiang river region include Dongguan specially excellent, but we still have much shortage in upriver pivotal technology". Wuling, the director of national semiconductor lighting office pointed out at the proseminar.

MOCVD is the main equipment of LED wafer growth, take up 40~50% wafer cost, while over 90% of global market is monopolized by 2 companies of Germeny and USA; Maijor raw material MO source, sapphire underlay, SiC underlay and NH3, monopolized by 2 companies of USA and Japan as well.
Wuling also pointed out that inland LED application field had many patent, in the energy saving background, government support and huge market demand, we have more new developing chance.

Ye Jingtu, the principal of Guangdong science and technology office, presented the developing situation of GD LED industry at the proseminar. He pointed out, in the background of energy saving and new high-tech application, GD LED industry development has nice foreground. But GD have to establish consummate technology innovation and idiocratic industry aggregation, to shorten the difference with developing countries.
Luo Yi, professor of TSinghua university; Wang Gang, professor of Zhongshan university, aiming at GD LED industry technology program, made report at the proseminar as well.

In the evening of 3th March, over 100 experts, academicians and enterprisers visited Kingsun LED street light projects in Changping, Shipai, Shilong town, Donguan; The live show of high power LED street light remote wireless control system of Kingsun got attention from the visitors.
